San Diego Zoo specimens
In 2012 San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance received 10 gharials born in managed care as a breeding loan from the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust in India.
These young individuals will hopefully contribute to the gene pool of gharials in North American zoos.
