Please call ahead to confirm that we are open if you are planning an out-of-the way visit. We would hate to miss you!
The SDZG Main Library is on the second floor of the Beckman Center, adjacent to the Safari Park. It houses the majority of the Zoo's 11,000+ books, 400+ print journal titles, and our Archives and Rare Book Room. Several small, specialized print collections are located at additional sites throughout our multi-campus organization.
We also provide online access to thousands of journals and other information resources. Some of these are limited to on-site (Zoo, Safari Park and ICR) or VPN use only.
Welcome! Our Information for New Team Members packet gives an overview of Library resources and services. Still have questions? We’re here to help! Don’t hesitate to contact us via phone, email, or stop by in person.
