The new Denny Sanford Wildlife Explorers Basecamp at the San Diego Zoo will be a joyful place where kids can make lasting connections with animals and discover the natural world through active, hands-on play and discovery.
The Denny Sanford Wildlife Explorers Basecamp (planned to open in 2021) will be a dynamic new play and learning space for children. From tunnels to treetops, waterfalls to creeks, new perspectives and ways to experience a variety of habitats and their animal residents will inspire creativity and foster the joy of exploration.
Kids will be able to climb like squirrel monkeys, splash like frogs, and be busy little bees, exercising their bodies and minds.
